#the x files #okay so my favourite thing out of many favourite things about the pilot (U TINY INNOCENT BABIES) is watching how these two #immediately REALLY LIKE EACH OTHER and are SHOCKED AND DELIGHTED that actually really liking each other is even part of the deal #because lbr i think both of them were already well prepared to be incredibly uncomfortable #here’s young relatively unproven agent dana scully who has probably long ago come to terms with the knoweldge that #as a petite young pretty woman she is going to have to fight extra hard to be granted basic respect from her peers #who has probably already dealt with a certain amount of disrespect and people refusing to take her seriously #and here her first major career assignment is… to basically start the process of dismantling what this guy’s making his life’s work #great thanks set me up with a partner who’s going to already resent and dislike me for even being here it’s FINE guys #meanwhile mulder has been doing his research and is like great she’s intelligent and organised and a scientist she’s going to despise me #and he’s already quite resigned; when they meet his dry detatched self-deprecating shield is already well up #he’s got the death-knell of his project and his quest ringing in his ears and someone’s being sent in to slowly take it away from him #only neither of them had really bargained on each other being who they were — #scully infinitely fairminded and uninterested in political games or making up her mind just because somoene told her what to think#mulder infinitely earnest and true and hardworking in his baffling unorthodox way he’s not just chasing baubles he’s chasing truth #and immediately something sparks between them (also ust but shhhhh) because they’re terrifically similar people underneath #and they’re immediately charmed by each other #and constantly and v. clearly throughout the pilot they are so delighted and startled by the fact that they like and respect each other #and have been granted completely unexpected and almost unasked for like and respect in return #which only perpetuates the cycle of liking and respect and being ridiculously excited about each other’s existences#which… well. you know the rest. #B A B I E S

it’s always such a commitment chopping yr hair off! i just like asymmetrical hair coz you can style it to be short OR long just by flipping it a bit! :P your hair looks thicker than mine though, so could be different. whatever u choose will be rad xx
really hahah i feel like my hair is really fine and im annoyed because i feel like i cant really do anything with it. maybe its just because im used to doing my cousins’ hair and they both have reeeaaally thick hair.
i keep considering remaking my blog and keeping this as an archive like a lot of people are doing… I’m just UNSURE…
